Dental implants have become the gold standard for the replacement of one or more missing teeth. Implants improve all aspects of oral health, providing long-term stability and natural function. Traditional implants required ample healthy bone structure in the jaw for lasting support, often leaving edentulous patients with the choice of extensive bone grafting or foregoing implants altogether.
As technology has advanced, implants have become a more viable option for patients with varying stages of bone loss. All On Four is an innovative, graft-less implant technique that uses extensive pre-treatment planning to optimize healthy bone tissue for the placement of as few as four implants to secure a hybrid denture permanently. Implementing modern dental technology, customizable dental materials, and digital imaging, Dr. Jospeh Cavallo offers All-On-Four implants for patients missing a full arch or all of their teeth.

About Your All-On-4 Procedure:
The All-On-Four technique uses a minimum of four smaller dental implants to secure a custom hybrid denture. Dental implants increase the function and stability of the denture and will also support better long-term oral health.
-
Pre-Planning:
The All-On-Four dental implant procedure relies on digital imaging technology for precise pre-treatment planning. Dr. Cavallo takes images of the bone, gums, and teeth and creates a 3-D computer model of your smile. Using these high-quality images, Dr. Cavallo can strategically map out the placement of the implants. Implants are placed at predetermined angles that optimize healthy bone tissue. Dr. Cavallo can avoid placing the implants in compromised bone tissue and utilize the most stable areas of tissue for increasing long-term success rates. All-on-Four dental implants can eliminate the need for extensive bone grafting, reducing the cost of receiving an implant-secured denture.
-
Surgical Phase:
The implants are surgically placed in the comfort of our Woodbridge dentist’s office by Dr. Cavallo. Patients will discuss sedation options with Dr. Cavallo prior to their surgery for their optimal comfort. Implants typically take 3-6 months to heal and fuse with the jaw fully. During the interim period, Dr. Cavallo may fit you with a temporary denture.
-
Final Restoration:
Patients will return to the office post-op to work with Dr. Cavallo to design a custom denture that will look and function like their natural teeth. Once the implants have healed, the final denture will be fit and secured.
For some patients, All-On-Four can be completed in just one visit to our Woodbridge, VA, area dentist’s office. With a detailed pre-treatment plan in place, Dr. Cavallo is able to place implants and a temporary denture in a single appointment for beautiful teeth in a day. Once the implants have successfully fused with the jaw bone, a permanent denture will be custom-designed and securely fit.
